B. Tour of Woodburn Plantation (1829)

Clay and I took the kids to one of the Historical Plantations located in Pendleton (the town where we are living).  We enjoyed a tour that lasted about 2 1/2hrs!  The kids were amazed at the house and some of the items found in the home.  Unfortunately we were not permitted to take photos inside the home, but we did go for a hike afterwards and tooks some cool photos to share.

The house had a ‘joggling board’ located on the back veranda and CB got to be a demonstrator in how it was used.  It was initially used to help the ladies settle their “inners” after a meal.  It was said the bouncing on the board would help settle them – needless to say it was probably their corsets that were causing all the discomfort!
